I had a bit of out and aboutage last week. I wandered into Perth on Wednesday to meet with ratfan, scored ourselves a nice lunch at Maya Masala, a 40 minute wait for a Dhosa though wasn't quite to my taste so I had vindaloo instead, and jalfreezi. Yum!

We wandered around Perth, doing a bit of Scrabble pricing, and having a look in Tactics, visiting new owner Stefan at Fantastic Planet - and then went our separate ways. I picked up Troubletwisters which is a collaboration between Garth Nix and Sean Williams.  It has temporarilly derailed me from reading Ghost Ship.

I decided to go to Four Seasons and got some new bras fitted there - possibly the best and most professional fitting for any piece of clothing I've owned. And, amazingly the garments I got weren't made in China. Admittedly, they weren't made in Australia either, but, hey, I'll take what I can get.

Friday I wandered into Perth again, fairly mundane stuff but then met kremmen and dryade geo at Fantastic Planet and we all caught the Blue Catbus to Cafe Myriade, where we had a game of Ticket to RIde Nordic Countries which I won fairly convincingly, and then, after Dryade departed for the screening of Real Steel for the conventions fundraiser, kremmen taught me Quirkle, which is pretty neat for a themeless abstract - I really enjoyed it, I could see the patterns than Blokus, for example, or Ingenious.

Rob picked me up from Myriade and we swung by The Flying Taco to pick up dinner for us and the gamers. We had a ristretto there while we were waiting - they are apparently becoming more available throughout Perth. I'd found Voltage cafe whilst I was wandering around on Wednesday, and had a nice ristretto there, which you may have seen a picture of if you follow my Google+ streams.

On Friday night the gamers all came...and, well a lot of complicated things happened.

So that was Friday night and it was pretty chaotic.

Saturday saw us testing out Glendalough Open Space as a possible Disc Golf Course, the people from the Club seem to like it, and it was fun to play a round there. We had to leave early though, for the WABA AGM which unfortunately didn't get enough people along to get the changes made that they needed.

We played a good bunch of games at WABA, we learnt Elder Sign, 2 or 3 games of 7 Wonders with Leaders, as we were teaching, and Dixit.
Then we rollicked along to Poss's and devoured her delicious honey soy chicken with beautiful veggies, especially the delicious potatoes. Mmm.

We had got some cakes and some chai chocolate mousse from Herdsman's Fresh for dessert.

Sunday we hauled greenstuff for the green pickup, visited Karrinyup which was open, and then went to Myriade, where we played a game of Quirkle, and then taught ourselves Wildlife with Laura and Andrew when they joined us. A good night. I recommend Myriade on Sunday evenings, nice and quiet and you can generally manage good parking free.

And that's it. I drew a bit today, and cleaned up the hiatus of the weekend, and cooked some kangaroo chilli which has gone very well in tacos with the usual trimmings.

And that's it for now.
