Inktober 25 Sacred Kittenfisher. Rob came to the rescue when I was all out of brain today, he said "Do something based on the Sacred Kingfisher photos you took when we were on Rottnest." I did, and this feisty little Sacred Kittenfisher is the result.

 Deep Water Mermaid.

A Pelagic Mermaid drawn in 10 minutes or so as we were served an excellent dinner.

Okay here we are. Inktober 21. The Fireworm.

The fireworm
Not much is known about the Fireworm's ecology.
They're attracted to light, and are very sensitive to vibration. Pretty fierce if provoked, and protective of their territory. Heresay relates instances of fireworms attempting some form of communication, but this has never been verified.  Each year they grow another pair of legs, starting out with four.

Hey those brush pens really give the look of old school D&D monster manuals, don't they?

Oh, while I'm at it, a local writer has an RPG Kickstarter going.

Inktober 14 This is Andrew Muhlings 's fault. I had started a detailed piece and then suddenly I had to do a lot of travelling on the bus, and after that was all over had to pack for a four day trip. Sat down for a brief look at my g+ and I read Andrew's joke. Minutes later... #inktober #inktober2015 #drawingwithoutanet Herbin ink and a Tombo fountain pen.

What kind of bovine can you really depend on?

#inktober #inktober2015 #drawingwithoutanet Started off this one sitting in the car in a dim carpark, book propped on the steering wheel, a 10 minute sketch saw the bones of the design, then I added stronger lines and very bad shading.

A unicorn is dreaming of public speaking - but everyone listening has a horn, all the other unicorns and even a narwhal and a rhino, but the dreaming unicorn doesn't!

A thumbnail sketch. This is actually Rob's fault.

A thumbnail sketch of a thumbnail sketch done with a thumbnail. Sketchilly.
