leecetheartist: Verly lurid negative of default dragon. (Freaky)
So I'm watering the front yard and see a big Australian Raven with something white in its beak fly into the dwarf Norfolk Island Pine (these trees get very big so even the dwarf variety get to 50 feet or so) and think nothing of it.

I move under the pine to water the front plants and about 5 minutes later I hear

"rrcccrrrkkk........Hello!" From directly above me!

I look around frantically, then remember the raven. I can't see it, because the dwarf pine's foliage is so thick, but it must be the culprit.

I say, "Hello Crow!" but don't get any answer.

I'd heard before that crows can mimic, and Rob heard one up north that spoke very nicely, but that's the first time I've heard it myself!
